Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences
The Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences is the only institution of higher education in Croatia that offers study programmes in the fields of education and rehabilitation sciences, art-therapy and other supportive therapies, and trains experts for education and rehabilitation. The Faculty's 49-year-long history has been marked by dynamic changes: from a traditional educational orientation, across an interdisciplinary synthesis of social sciences, the humanities and biomedical sciences, towards new levels of professional identity: the education and rehabilitation orientation. Consequently, at the beginning of 1998, the Faculty changed its name from the Faculty of Special Education to the Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences.
What will the Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences train you for?
The Faculty provides three undergraduate and three graduate university programmes: SPEECH PATHOLOGY (LOGOPAEDICS), SOCIAL PEDAGOGY and REHABILITATION EDUCATION. Depending on the level of completion, students are trained in various levels of job complexity in prevention and rehabilitation and in educational and clinical practice. The Faculty allows students to design their individual programmes of study through a large number of electives which the students choose according to their wishes and interests. These electives can be from the student's main course of study or from other study programmes taught at the Faculty or some other related university study programme at a different faculty.
